Veteran’s Tree Project was a culmination of hand prints from veterans and their spouses at the Michael J Fitzmaurice Veterans Home. A pencil was used to outline their hands on paper then cut out using scissors. The outline stencil was then attached to the wall using spray fixative. Both veterans and their spouses chose their favorite color to be painted over their stencil. Once dried, the stencil was peeled from the wall. Within each of the handprints, we included the Veteran’s branch of service and the time period they served.
