The Quilt Mural was a visual narrative highlighting the historical, cultural, environmental, and social landscape of Decatur, Alabama. Students from three elementary schools participated in coloring each mural section. Along with coloring, students also participating in painting each section of the mural. Over several weekends, the community as well as art students from the Alabama Center for the Arts participated in painting the mural. After completion, the mural was installed on the outside wall of the Morgan County Archives Building in downtown Decatur.
