Bookshelf Mural is a celebration of books that were milestones concerning subjects related to: overcoming personal and social injustice; racism and oppression; restorative justice; power of positive thinking; struggles of survival; environmental conservation and preservation. Incarcerated youth from the Miami-Dade Regional Juvenile Justice Center participated in the book selections as well as the overall design, composition, and painting of the Bookshelf Mural.
